NOMINATIONS MCRTA OFFICERS

It is time to think if you or someone that you know would be interested in being on the ballot as an officer of MCRTA. The offices are President, Vice President, Membership Secretary, Board Secretary, Treasurer. We are a strong chapter and always welcome new officers.
The Nominating Committee shall submit the name of the nominee for each elective office to the general membership at the September meeting in odd numbered years. Nominations for all offices may be made from the floor at the September meeting. Persons nominated must be given consent to serve. The officers for contested offices shall be elected at the annual meeting of members by secret ballot in October of odd years. Uncontested offices shall be elected by acclamation in October of odd-numbered years. Officers shall be installed the following December and will assume office the following January first for a term of two years.

the McHenry County RTA Unit is being recognized as a 2024 IRTA “Unit of Distinction.” The “Unit of Distinction” Program is a voluntary program based on the honor system that is designed to help guide and direct local unit leaders, as well as recognizing IRTA units that are the best in the state.
The McHenry County Retired Teachers Association - M.C.R.T.A. is a local unit of the Illinois Retired Teachers Association.
The unit is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization of retired teachers started in 1960.
Noon luncheon meetings are held 7 times a year at different sites in McHenry County. Meetings are informational and a great time to socialize.
